![]() ![]() I didn't just go in and magically stumbled upon a meta build, my build was just OK and functional. It's going to still be a complex game but it's going to be much more approachable now, at least that has been their philosophy going forward with some of the changes they have been making.Ĭlick to shrink. It is fair to point that I am an ARPG veteran and thus Last Epoch would have been an easier game to get into but it was still a new game with new systems and mechanics. We already know they play to remove some of the league mechanics or at least do a rotation system so that there is a limit on the content bloat.Īll this is to say that the changes are more significant than what it may seem like ESPECIALLY if you are a new/casual player. Many of the old skill gems don't make sense in the new game either due to mechanics or presentation. I wouldnt be shocked if there is a significant culling/reworking of various things in the game including old skills, general loot dropping and mechanics. Base types have more differences between them now and even have their own built in skills. They are redesigning base items with new art assets and removing various item base types. They are also completely over hauling how you get Ascendancies, probably more baked into the campaign rather than a side content type thing. The story campaign is brand new which means a different on boarding experience and fresh start. ![]() There seems to be more focus on class identity/fantasy and even class specific skills potentially (a potential massive departure from PoE1 philosophies). Much more emphasis on visual clarity improvements. ![]() There seems to be a push to more deliberate, varied and less spammy approach to combat, even having a universal dodge. It completely shifts character customization and build making while making it less complex to understand. They have completely reworked the Skill gem system with brand new UI elements that makes it easier to interact between Gems and Items. ![]()
